Item is in distress tonight. Keep him in your thoughts please.
I know that the expense of the ER can be scary, but count me as another person who hopes they're there. Or, at least, that he's been able to take in some fluids.
These are the decisions that none of us ever want to make. GOD I HATE THIS COUNTRY SOMETIMES.
On the bright side, though, you know one time my son - about age 12 then - was vomiting like that for more than 24 hours. The doctor was completely dismissive; there was no suggestion of even bringing him to the office, let alone the ER. Finally (I think it was hysterical phone call number 4) he gave me a prescription for those phenergan suppositories and lo and behold, the kid was totally and completely fine 6 hours later and within 12 hours was begging for McDonalds.
Sounds like he's on the mend, which is a damn good thing. Hopefully he or his SO will report back here (or there) when he's on his feet again.
He can be a contentious guy online, but I've met both he and UCotC a few times (hell, even had 'em over to my house before), and they're good, kind people.
Hopefully when my work slows down a bit, I can finally go eat at his restaurant and, money provided, tip very well to help with the ensuing hospital bills.
