A spellbinding tale of love, death and sushi. The climactic scene where the hero and heroine, slowly dying of cancer of the perinium, poignantly exchange parting gifts of raw shark on cubes of rice atop a coral atoll as the tide rushes in, will stay with me forever.
I picked up the import edition at a major chain bookstore because it was a great deal. It's a fantastic read but I haven't been able to get myself to pick it back up and finish the final section. No knock on the book, I'm positive you'll enjoy it.
