Elefanten - civil defense operations bunker, Stockholm "Naturally, the Elefanten operations center was never used, and so with its filtered air and sheltered location, it today stands testimony to the designs, psychology, colours and mechanics of Cold War era Sweden." A very interesting photoset, I think.

When I was a teen, getting into these shelters was a weekend hbby. I've been in most, the best one is the swiss cheese set of tunnels under skeppsholmen.

It reminds me of the bunker from Day of the Dead if it had been furnished by IKEA. In other words, way frickin' cool!
