What is sad is that is probably the only way they could plan a wedding when they wanted-waffle house makes you work all holidays. Including Christmas and Thanksgiving-unless they have changed they make it mandatory that ALL employees work those holidays in order for it to be fair.
Waffle House is a good place to work if you must work that kind of job-they have insurance and paid vacations-but it's hard on families. Which is why your local Waffle House is its own little family.
I'm conflicted about this. The video to me pokes way too much fun at the people. The Jesus They Know Not What They Do tee-shirt shot inserted towards the end? C'mon. They knew what they were doing. They wanted to get married, she had a dress, the kids were dressed, they had rings. . .c'mon. I sort of would love it at least a little bit if had a better spin. I hope Waffle House marketing gets hold of this and re-tools it.
Knowing from Waffle House helps make one more genrous in one's take on this, I'm sure. Employees are required by edict to say "GOOD MORNING!" when you come in. Give the kids a break.
Don't play it on the jukebox at WH unless you wanna annoy the hired help.
I discovered that the hard way, about a week after I moved to NC.
That's actually a good way to get your ass kicked in the parking lot, from what I hear.
Seriously, the only reason I posted the link to that story was because that was probably the neatest thing I'd ever heard of happening in the parking lot of a Waffle House. It sure beats the usual stories of shootings, stabbings and brawls.
