He [Mayfield] disagreed with Disney's claim that they were entitled to an exemption written into the law for employers that "deal in explosive materials," saying that the language was meant for companies that transported and handled explosives, not "a theme park that happens to be launching fireworks on the other side of their property."

I'd say Mayfield shot himself in the foot with that one.

It's so bizarre how people feel so terribly threatened about the gun ownership of others. None of these patriots seem to care that they are being spied on. That people are reading their emails and monitoring their telephone calls and internet activity. What about the first amendment?

To me, keeping a gun in the car is not responsible gun ownership. Oh, someone broke in and stole my gun. Oh, I don't know how they knew I had a gun. Oh, I'm disgruntled, I think I'll go get my gun. Why do you need a gun in your car? I'm pretty sure Florida has a three step law. You must keep your gun three steps away from use. (Safety on, in a case, and stored in the glove box.) You can't keep it on the passenger seat, thankfully.

I wonder how many people actually use their car guns to protect themselves. Maybe they should have the right but it's doesn't sound reasonable.

I believe in the second amendment. I believe people in the DC area, or any area should be allowed to own a gun if it's reasonable, but all of this fuss is crazy.

/end senseless rant.
