Why do all of the Word 2007 letterhead templates include color? Does Microsoft get kickbacks from printer manufacturers?
Does it really matter? I mean just print on b/w and you won't notice a difference.

Well, I think they just all look kinda cheesy and too self-consciously Generation Y in general. I thought the last few versions of Word had some decent, boring letter templates.

Doesn't your organization already have a letterhead? If not (or if this is for personal use), you could just make one yourself and save that as a template. I happen to like Word 07 a lot. It looks cleaner and I love not having a drop down menu for anything. I don't like the docx format (neither do my editors) but I've just set it to save stuff as backward compatible.

I'm not complaining about Word 2007, just their letterhead templates. I ended up finding one I liked, somewhat.
