I think we might need a wiki page on this to assess potential attendance either way. I'll see if I can figure out how to do that.

Either date, I notice that this will be going on during the Olympics. Therefore, I think medals should be awarded.

I'll chime in: I almost certainly can't make the 16th, and anytime in August after the 9th is going to be tricky at best. If it's moved to another date, I'll send my cheeriest Skee Ball thoughts to you all!

I really liked the idea of the 9th, but in the spirit of my recent life, visitors are in the mix messing things up. I will either have to combine my visitors with the meetup on the 9th (would be weird, there are kids involved, I have to play host, etc) or stick with the 16th. Let's just take inventory via the Wiki and go with whatever works best.

If the 9th really is best and it means I have to go for a short while and then leave y'all *snif* i will do so.

Miko, it ain't right for Skee Ball Meet-up to happen without you --- if I recall correctly, you're the originator of the idea. It has to be on a date that works for you! Anything else is just wrong.

Yeah, that's my scheduling glitch, too --- out-of-state family is descending with all the kids in tow on the 10th. Given some family business/drama going on, they probably wouldn't want join in the Skee Ball trip, and I hate to leave them for the day-and-night-and-halfday that Skee Ball Tourney + transit will take for me.

That said, if the 16th is the only date that the proud originator can make, and works for others, I'll do my damnedest to free up the weekend.

16th is a wedding for me. But if you move this event, I'll be able to do another event I was going to forgo for this meetup.

No, sadly. August 9th is also the annual Magical Mystery Tour. I can go to the skeeball meetup instead, but I cannot miss the wedding the following weekend.
