It's a shame this television cross-over was never made: [More:]Wild Wild West (TV version) and Dr. Who. James West and the other guy stumble upon a Dalek invasion in New Mexico. The other guy goes undercover as Davros to learn more about what is going on. Then Dr. Who comes in and together they fight off the Dalek threat.
other guy: Artemus Gordon, played by Ross Martin

Still could be done by the current Whovians, just recasting James West with somebody other than Will Smith.

Dr. Who and WWW are great examples of how to update a classic series and how not to, respectively.

I haven't seen the movie but I imagine it's got to be pretty bad.

They've been replaying the old WWW show here, and it's rekindled my love of the show. The aesthetic of show (along with it's willingness to throw in a bit of sci-fi) makes me think it would have fit in perfectly with Dr Who.

Artemis! Thanks Wendall. I can't believe I forgot his name, I was just thinking how much I liked Artemis as a name (and the character).

Had it been done at the time, you'd have Robert Conrad teaming up with William Hartnell's elderly First Doctor. That might've been a bit much for Number One. However, if you crossed-over one of the more kick-ass Doctors (Nine, for instance), then you might have something.
