Help me plan my Island Vacation Pride party [More:]Hi, there. I'm planning an Island Vacation Pride party for this Pride Sunday morning in SF. Think cheesy plastic leis, grass skirts, coconut bras, mango mimosas, etc. I've got the decorations and the drinks covered, now I'm tackling the food. Fruit salad, of course. Maybe some bagels with cream cheese and fried spam. What else? I'm thinking about picking up some garlic shrimp and mahi-mahi from Ono Hawaiian BBQ in SF -- has anyone gone there or eaten their food? Any other ideas for funny but not-disgusting "Island Vacation Pride" food?
Must I be the one to say it? Very well then: Pu Pu platter.

There's Hukilau, too, though I've never eaten at either place so I certainly can't recommend one over the other.

Trader Joe's seems to have a lot of this sort of stuff, frozen. If you're looking for kind of fill-in stuff, it may be worth checking them out.

Well, based on their web sites, Hukilau looks slightly more gour-met than Ono Hawaiian BBQ -- thanks!!!

"but not-disgusting"
