I was actually convinced that I had a fever last night, then I realized that (a) it was 87 degrees outside, (b) I had a laptop on my lap, (c) the cat was also on my lap, and (d) I was wearing flannel pajama pants.

Not a fever. Just damned hot!

It's hot and humid here. I'm looking forward to leaving the office in 5 minutes, but I wish I could take the air conditioning with me, because I will also have a laptop and (probably) cats on my lap in an hour or two. And no central air.

I'm skipping the flannel pajamas, though!

If I'm not hot, I'm freezing. The people (patients) at the rehab want it set at 68! I indulge them for a couple of hours in the morning.

Tonight we went to B&N after dinner at the beach. I thought I'd freeze. We were all shivering. Then we drove home in a thunderstorm, which cooled everything down, and now in the house, I'm freezing again. I want a quilt and a cup of hot chocolate.

It cooled down to 78F here in Atlanta tonight, so we turned off the AC and opened all the windows for the first time in two weeks. It feels nice, because the humidity is next to nothing. We're trying to learn to live without AC as much as possible, because electric rates here in GA are supposedly going to spike much higher soon. If we have a dry summer, I can sweat with the best of 'em, but if it's humid as hell, fuck it, I'm going to need my AC.
