So your jet blew apart at an altitude of 35,000 feet, you exited the aircraft and are falling towards the ground. Now what?
There is a part of me that firmly believes one day I will need to know this information.

It seems unrealistically optimistic. But I guess I would rather be working on my survival when I hit, than just waiting to die.

Coming to, after blacking out, seems a stretch.

danf - it's a bit of a joke, right? The optimistic tone is part of the joke - a bit of satire in the tone of an article from a 70's men's magazine. Or am I on the wrong page?

Well, just in case, I'm going to memorise all that information - any help is better than none if you're falling 35,000 feet without a parachute.
