I love Lio.

Me too. I was worried he was going to get cut from our local paper -- they recently had a "hot or not" comics poll, and all the octogenarians turned out in droves to register their hatred of Lio, Pearls Before Swine, and Get Fuzzy. Doonesbury wound up getting cut (the Bush-fluffing bastards), but Mallard Fillmore remains, in all its resplendent asininity. Also, Judge Parker, quite possibly most boring comic ever..

I wish these old people would just get off my lawn.

Lio, Pearls Before Swine, and Get Fuzzy
Probably (and probably not coincidentally) my three favorite print comics.

Deflocked is worth a look if you like PBS, because, well, it's pretty much PBS.

Thanks for posting this - I've never heard of Lio and it looks promising. I was just talking with a friend about how badly comics have nose dived in the past 10 or 15 years. I stopped looking at the comics pages years ago because nothing appealed to me - at best I'd find a decent cartoon, but almost never anything worth coming back to. I've been jonesing a comic to get me back into it.

Lio looks good and Deflocked does too. I forgot about Get Fuzzy, so maybe I should try again. I miss the comics section.

I am now addicted to Deflocked. I've never heard of this or Lio, and I like both.

When I first read this post, before clicking the link, that was exactly how I pictured cooking with Rachel Ray.
