15664. How many emails are in your Gmail/webmail inbox?
I went to check the trash to see if there were any in there, and saw this message:
"No conversations in the Trash. Who needs to delete when you have over 2000 MB of storage?!"
13,000 plus. I'm a packrat....or, as I prefer it, an archivist.
In your inbox??? wtf? How do you run your life? I am a packrat too [I have every email since 1996] but my emails are neatly archived in [thunderbird] folders [before tags came around] and more recently tagged and archived.
21. I try hard to keep it single digits. My inbox is my todo list and the "wow I really should write a proper email back to this person" list. The bulk of the remaining emails are of the latter sort.
3. Since I don't really use it. I still use my work email for all sorts of stuff that I probably shouldn't, and then a couple yahoo accounts. . .I never got the hang of gmail and it sort of sits there.
18. My making-it-look-like-I-get-things-done strategy consists of replying to all emails with either "ok, it's done", or "could you clarify points A through W?", and archiving them.
So that's 18 too many...
1825 in my inbox, but I semi-regularly archive them. I tend to use the search function to find messages with Gmail, though, so am less obsessed about it than I am at work. There, I have over 2GB of archived e-mail, all arranged in years, then topics. I do this every Monday morning to avoid those incredibly frustrating messages about my mail storage space having been exceeded.
