SO WE HAVE A REORG. THAT TAKES A YEAR. AND IS STUPID. BUT I SEE OPPORTUNITY AND I MILK IT FOR ALL IT'S WORTH.
RESULT: BIG BOSS HAPPY, (MY)TEAM MEMBERS HAPPY, CUSTOMERS HAPPY. EVERYONE ELSE? NOT SO MUCH. WHY? BECAUSE BIG BOSS' IDEAS ABOUT REORG ARE NICE IN AN IDEAL WORLD, BUT WE'RE STILL ON EARTH! HE'S NOT SCATTERING SEEDS ON FERTILE GROUND, HE'S PUTTING CUTTINGS IN DIRT, DROWNING THEM WITH WATER, AND GETTING UPSET WHEN THEY DON'T GROW.
I have no ownership of anything, and when I pointed out an obvious remedy, big boss says "I'm going to leave that up to [stupid-boss]". Right. The guy who's afraid of me and hates me. The guy who whined so much over 'losing stuff' the reorg that it's being reorg'd back to him.
