Vacating the premises for vacation... I only have to work until 4 today and then I'm off on vacation! Tomorrow afternoon I fly to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit a friend for a week. I have a three page list of things I want to do. This friend and I have not seen each other since 1989. I haven't travelled anywhere since going to Pip and jonmc's wedding in September 2006. I'm SO excited. But I'm also going to try to go all week without emailing or going on the internet. I may get the DTs.

I will yell as I drive through on the 26th - ORANGE SWAN! CHEWIE! Heck, I might yell it a bunch, as I'll probably be sitting in traffic. I just checked the meetup in the gray and I'll just miss it. Have fun!

I'm leaving work at 4:30 today, and not returning until next Wednesday. Unfortunately, that means I'll not be able to get together with the bunnies in DC.

I'll be flying to Greensboro tomorrow. No path crossing is anticipated. I am holing up on a farm in the hills, armed with a Nikon and plenty of beer. Never know when the yart will rise up. I'm off work until next Wednesday night. YAY.

I have 2 items on my list of things to do while in North Carolina. Relax and have fun!

It's a shame it seems I won't get to meet anyone I actually "know" at the meetup... but oh well. I don't think there's anything short of having my plane hijacked that could spoil this trip for me.
