Radio b – Deafness Is The Best Defense AWRIGHT METACHAT!! ARE YOU READY TO ROCK OUT WITH WHATEVER EQUIPMENT YOU’VE GOT OUT?! Two full hours of what commercial radio would surely refer to as a “rockstravaganza” – if commercial radio actually had the cojones to play such an awesome set. The mayhem begins at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT . For you European-types using metric time, that’s just under two hours from now.

Rockstravaganza? Sweet.

I'm making soup today, so I will be rocking out with my crock-pot out.

*sigh* I'm at work and can't listen. Maybe if I pretend I'm listening...

It's mostly old stuff, Zack. You've prolly heard it all before. You could read the setlist and re-create it in your head!

Problem solved. Next problem?

Brothers and sisters, I wanna see a sea of hands out there. Let me see a sea of hands.

I want everybody to kick up some noise.

I wanna hear some revolution out there, brothers. I wanna hear a little revolution.

Brothers and sisters, the time has come for each and every one of you to decide whether you are gonna be the problem, or whether you are gonna be the solution.

You must choose, brothers, you must choose.

It takes 5 seconds, 5 seconds of decision.

Five seconds to realize your purpose here on the planet.

It takes 5 seconds to realize that it's time to move.

So now I’m gonna ask you one question:

BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WHAT TIME IS IT?

Um, it's rolling now.

Okay, they haven't sorted out their issues with redirect; I've changed the title link to go to the metachat page of LoudCity.

Tomorrow, I'll just change the link on the radio page, and if it changes later we'll deal with it then.

in other words, RADIO B IS ON AND WORKING. yeah.

Thanks, taz.

I was really happy to see that Les thugs are reforming specuifically to play the Sub Pop 20th Anniversary Festival - and they're playing on the day we're going! Yay!
posted by bmarkey 16 May | 14:45
Oh, I guess we have preview for a reason. That should be "Les Thugs" and "specifically".
posted by bmarkey 16 May | 14:46
"specuifically" is not without its charm.
posted by taz 16 May | 14:49
Rocking out well. Two people are trying without success to repair a car and yelling at each other outside my open-because-it's-hot window, and this ALMOST drowns them out. Wait... ooh, there's a four-part-swear I've never heard in real life before!

Bmarkey - how do i handle output issues in Winamp?

I tried a test set tonight and according to Wendell, it was skippy, unlistenable nightmare music.

Is this an internet connection issue, i.e. out of my hands?

posted by Lipstick Thespian 16 May | 22:36
You're asking me? I'm having a good tech day when the computer fails to burst into flame when I start it up.

Were you doing anything else - downloading, Skyping, whatever else you kids might do - while the set was playing? That will cause problems.

I had some issues late last year that required uninstalling and re-installing winamp, so that's a possibility, too. I was using an older version, and shoutcast didn't want to play with it anymore. So that's another possibility.

After that... I dunno. Trawling the winamp boards might help. Or it could just be a connection issue and therefore out of your hands.
