So despite having promised TicketBastard my first-born male child and having to take out a fifth mortgage on the farm, the online purchase worked flawlessly. I hate that they restricted the purchase to two tix per household (how do they know? IP logging? Credit card info? What if I had a roommate who wanted tix, too?).

Now, of course, I envision nightmare scenarios related to the "paperless ticket" process -- "we don't have a record of that transaction"..."your name has an apostrophe in it but the TicketBastard information does not, therefore you are screwed"..."sorry, the venue was hit by a meteor and you didn't buy the silly insurance"....

But all in all, I am delighted. And awesome.

Congrats! I saw him on one of his last tours (like, 2001, 2002) and it was awesome. I seriously considered going for tickets in Columbus, but it'd mean leaving a day early from a family reunion two hours away. Too much longterm downside.

I, in turn, am smug about our Nick Cave tickets. Of course they added a second show here, but we got ours for the first date so that makes us better.

I saw him in Memphis on the Orphans tour, which was awesome. You'll love it. We came this close to buying Tulsa tix, but they were 75 bucks a throw.

Yeah, I broke my own rule about never paying $100 for concert tickets ($85 plus TicketBastard charges). But how many times will I have the chance to see Tom Waits? Without having to drive for half a day to get there? Nevar, that's how many times.

And bmarkey -- congrats on the Nick Cave tix! All the cool people will be at the first show!

Is ignoring very hard the Nick Cave show because it hurts us to miss it. It hurts us, but the price is well worth it.
