Wow, the creepy chick from the Ring was in Sparkle Motion? How did I miss such an epic chance for comedy? Right up there with Dustin Hoffman's autistic portrayal of Captain Hook. "Yeah, definitely gotta catch Peter Paaan. Definitely."

Richard Kelly's Donnie Darko script was a labor of love. I suppose he gave up all rights to future sequels when he signed the production deal?

Now it's an easy sequel formula:

The original grossed $X.

X number of people who saw the original will want to see the sequel.

Therefore Darko II will gross $X (a calculated, acceptable amount) whether it's good or it sucks.

So, suckage it is. It's cheaper.
