Parting gift for employers? Any suggestions about a parting gift as I leave my really nice employers (husband and wife) after a 3-month temporary stint? They already bring flowers to the office and they're always bringing food for everybody. Plus on my last day I'm sure there will be cake or something and a little "party" in the conference room. Perhaps a thank-you card? Anything else?

A note in a thank-you card would probably be adequate and much appreciated. Here are some ideas if you want to do more:

A pair of movie passes in the thank-you card.

Bottle of wine if it's appropriate.

Car wash gift certificates (my favorite, but might be a little strange to some.)

Blockbuster gift card wrapped with a bag of microwave popcorn and a box of Raisinets.

Are you trying to thank them for letting you work for them, or thank them for being such good folks?
A nice note which describes your feelings/appreciation will be great. If you can, add specifics about some items that were especially important to you.
