→[More:]"Doin' the Boom Boom" was played on a college station as I was driving in to work the other day. It was irresistible and I listened in to hear who it was. There was no doubt in my mind that it was by a 70s funk master. I wrote down his name and looked him up and wasn't I surprised to find that the band is contemporary, touring, and just about to break big after a really good run at SXSW. And - they're playing in Newburyport at the end of the month! Haven't looked forward to a live show so much in a long time.
