Radio b - We call upon the author to explain Two hours of odds and sods, including covers of Marvin Gaye, The Magnetic Fields and Led Zeppelin. Where else are you gonna hear that mix? Nowhere* but here, starting at 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST / I'm too tired to look up the GMT.

*No guarantee of exclusivity is made or implied. C'mon, it's a big internerd out there - someone else might be stupid enough to do it.
Who's doing the Marvin Gaye cover??

I'm going to be in transit while you're on, but if I get home in time I'll tune in!

I was messing with this mix all last night after work, and I'm still not 100% satisfied that it works. Kinda too late now, though.

Well that's weird. I've somehow lost the connection to Shoutcast....

and now it's back. Sorry about that.

Is it out again, pode? It says it's still going on my end.
posted by bmarkey 02 May | 13:42
it was out again, but very briefly. It's fine now. Yay!
posted by gaspode 02 May | 13:43
Out for me too, for a bit, but fine now.

How very strange. I've had things go bad before, but usually it's been something I fucked up. I've no clue what happened today.
posted by bmarkey 02 May | 13:47
I was just rocking out and now you go mellow me out. :)
posted by gaspode 02 May | 13:50
Sorry. It picks up in a bit.

Out again - what's goin on :)
posted by goo 02 May | 13:55
Or it would if the fucking connection would stay up. Grrrr.
posted by bmarkey 02 May | 13:55
I was actually across the room when it went out, looking at a squirrel on the deck. Not my fault.

Ah, it's back. We'll see how long this lasts.
posted by bmarkey 02 May | 13:57
Woot! Squirrel-watching is a valid excuse, I say.

Re: the squirrel - the furry little pig was hanging upside down from the gutter, gorging himself on the suet cake we have there for the birds. It's not enough that they hoover up all the birdseed.

"I'm more in love with this cigarette than I'll ever be with you" has to be one of the harshest lines in recorded music.

taz - our guys look like this.
posted by bmarkey 02 May | 14:17
I'm a little afraid of the squirrel in your pic, bmarkey.
posted by gaspode 02 May | 14:22
Fortuantely they're too stupid to be much of a danger to anyone but themselves. But yeah, that guy was ready to throw down.

hahaha! He totally made me giggle.

agreed about "I'm more in love with this cigarette than I'll ever be with you" - but it also made me giggle.
