Santogold performs "L.E.S. Artistes" on last night's Conan O'Brien. I'd never heard of these gals, but this song kind of knocked my socks off.
Huh, that name sounds vaguely familiar, but I'm probably thinking of the Mexican wrester Santos.
Anyway, yeah, I rather liked that. Kinda different. It was a little hard to hear, but I'm at work and forced to keep the volume down. The recording is a bit clearer. Uh oh, it's growing on me on second listen...thanks.

Upon watching the video, I'm almost certain someone posted a bit ago. Good stuff.

You'll Find A Way (Switch & Graeme Sinden Remix)

Also give L.E.S. Artistes (xxxchange remix) a listen. :)

Wow, I'm old. I thought the video was rubbish. Does not do the song (which has great lyrics) justice at all.

Yeah, dabitch, I agree that it could have been done better. I see where they were trying to go with it though - i.e. - phony hipsters. But yeah, it's kind of a one-trick pony. I do like the beginning where she's on the horse.

Yeah that might have made me dislike it more, it opened so nice but then it didn't take it further. Oh well.

Hey great. Had not heard of them yet. Tx.

Hey, she's playing a free show at Virgin Megastore tonight! NY free shows usually suck because of all the people, but maybe I'll check it out.

OooH cool!

(all I wanna know is when can I get her album on VINYL?)

So I peeked in for a song and a half. The place was packed. I guess she's getting pretty big. I love her stage performance - the juxtaposition of her being the sole mover, standing in between the two stationary backup singer "female S1Ws". When they do move, though, the crowd goes nuts.
