Are you using the HTML Flickr gives you on their picture download page? It puts in some extra attributes that MetaChat doesn't allow (title, width and height I think). Just delete those up to the end of the quote marks

Also, if you're using the HTML from Flickr, you DON'T use the "Image" button here on MetaChat. Just paste in the HTML, delete out the bits that cillit bang mentioned, and you're set.

If you're putting up one of your pictures from Flickr, go to the page, then to all sizes, then to the box at the bottom that says To Link to This Photo on Other Websites. Copy what's in that box - it will look like this, except with pointy brackets instead of square ones:

Erase everything that's bolded, above, which is to say from the word width to the space directly before the back slash, so:
[a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/flisspix/2430680353/" title="outside asheville pizza 2 by mygothlaundry, on Flickr"][img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3117/2430680353_695c097879.jpg" /]
and voila, your picture will appear. Now, how you link other peoples' flickr pictures I haven't a clue, because then you don't get that handy box and it's a pain to find their direct URL and just use img src.
