Seems they're filming a remake of The Taking of Pelham 123... right below our bedroom window! Six o'clock this morning a huge trailer pulled into our narrow, one way street for the second day in a row and started unloading gear. They set up platforms, rigged lighting, and unloaded a bunch of stuff from a house across the street. Yesterday, there was a crowd of people on the sidewalk waiting for a glimpse of Denzel Washington or John Travolta (judging by subsequent cheers -- "We love you, Denzel!" -- they were rewarded with a brief appearance).

All seems quiet now. It's pretty cool, I must say. I just wish they'd quit idling that truck for hours at a time.
