Does anybody know a truly accurate way to identify a font? I've cut and uploaded a sample of it, hopefully redacted enough!
I'd try the Typophile Type ID Board. Good luck.

What the Font? has answered this question for me numerous time. You'd probably have to do some work on the sample you posted here but it should be no big deal.

Even if it doesn't work for this, that site's a lifesaver.

In particular, it looks like the i has been chopped to fit in with the wave shape. The original font might well have a square-topped i.

2or3whiskeysodas wins it - you got me the Close Enough that I needed.

Now whoever can tell me how to get the wave pattern thingy going without doing it freehand will have my undying gratitude! But that bit isn't necessary.

Depends what software you use. In Fireworks, for instance, you might create the solid blue text, and a copy in 50%-transparent white, and then mask the white text with a wave shape. You can create the wave shape by creating a rectangle and then playing around with the points a bit.

For instance:

(I know I haven't got the font right).

If you need a hand, feel free to tell me what exactly it is you want, and I could quickly knock something out in Fireworks. Email in profile.

Now try The Rather Difficult Font Game.

Oh, and if you were actually asking how to chop the i to fit the wave pattern, you'd break the text into paths, select the lower portion and wave shape (making sure the wave shape is on top), and do Modify Paths > Punch. Your graphics software probably has a similar command somewhere.

I've used identifont.com for font ID purposes in the past, it's gotten me pretty close to what I was looking for.
