This is one of the sweetest, cleverest, most-loved and all around finest animated films ever made, with a beautiful simple expressive drawing style and an equally charming soundtrack.

This is a noisy ugly god-damned travesty even worse than I had feared and I thought I'd feared the worst, but no-o-o-o-o. I didn't forsee it would be entirely done by a studio of full of brain-damaged monkeys with a pirated copy of Poser, a sack of "phat beats" and an inexplicable grudge against everything decent in life. No, I would not have predicted that. Pfúúúúúj! Hipp hopp my ass.
I don't know the language, but I can instantly tell what your upset about. That does seem like an abomination. I have a feeling that has ruined some childhood memories for people.

Much like the relationship between Dr. Suess books and movies. I have to assume that the pitch session were something like "Let's make it totally suck!" "Hey, brilliant, I think you've go a winner there.." etc.

You are probably a good candidate for "The Monk and the Fish". Which has gorgeous art and wonderful use of the piece La Folia for its soundtrack.

I prefer the original, myself. The second seemed like one of my kids' video games. Pffft. They don't make them like they used to.

Nice to see you, Wolfdog!!
