Another mini-girl Mecha Yep, it's got girlie bits. There's a big arrow on the pic I have pointing at the labia (although the ultrasound tech has labeled the pic "girl parts". Hee.)
Congrats. . .Girls are generally easier when very young but then watch out for the teens! (this is VERY general but true in my case).

(if it's a boy, they call it something like *Frank Jr* or something. . if it's a girl, what is the counterpart?. . .*Gaspode Jr* does not have much of a ring!)

Congratulations! I'm not sure why, but the idea of the big arrow pointing out your little minnow's bits... it's cracking me up.

I respectfully disagree, danf: "Gaspode, Jr." sounds pretty awesome to me!

Congratulations! I heart babies so much! If only I felt like I made enough money and had a partner to share the workload... Heh.

Hrmm. Maybe you'd better consider the source there, Lori. :)

Let us all smoke pink cigars!

Of course, I would have done that for a boy, too :-P

I thought you were going to post the photo with the labeled labia, and I have to say, I was having mixed feelings about clicking the link.

Girls ROCK! Speaking from recent experience that is. ;P I bet little boys rock too.

I only have a printout, occhiblu, so wouldn't be able to do that yet.

It only looks like 3 lines anyways. Also: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY OMG!

Little boys rock too. They're much less complicated, even at a young age.

Baby 1 for me was with girly bits, and she's turned out amazing! (Flickr stream, honest!)

Congrats!!! I only had boys, I got my daughter by bonus, so I only knew her from age 9 up. She's 18, and you know what? She's really cool most of the time! So, yay girls!!!!!

I sure like having daughters. Yay!

I'd like to suggest we refer to the wee lass as 'spodette.

Oh man, that is one lucky girl.

Congrats!

Or Spodeen?

Kinda reminds me of the way the Irish kids in NYC called their stickball balls "Spaldeens." Also reminds me of the Irish word "colleen" for a little lass.
posted by Miko 17 April | 20:58
i thought it was gasprog.
posted by ethylene 17 April | 21:13
Spodeen has got a little southern sass to it as well. I'm just fond of Ray Charles' Raylettes, and have long since called my girls the richlettes.

I think the 'spodette would be welcome addition to the group. Again, though, I do love the drawl that Spodeen has going for it.

*sigh* I'll just have to have another then.
posted by gaspode 17 April | 21:34
Will you name the third one after me?
posted by box 17 April | 22:31
(Because I'm worried that the baby and the new job will cut into our Scrabulous time.)
posted by box 17 April | 22:39
Do not name the girl box.
posted by ethylene 17 April | 22:41
Not even boxette?
posted by deborah 17 April | 23:33
I would now like to have a girl at the soonest time possible so that I can start thinking about names for her too, goddammit!
posted by hadjiboy 18 April | 00:40
woo, congratulations!

I don't see box on our list of potential names. Heh.

*weighs up baby v job v scrabulous. starts to think about sabotaging next interview*

Oh! A girly podeling! She can grow up and marry Mr. Baby and then we can be inlaws and team up to torment them at family functions!

This is my dream.
posted by jrossi4r 18 April | 08:11
It's a beautiful dream, jrossi. As long as there is a fight at their wedding that results in two people falling into the cake.

*starts planning mother of the bride dresses*
