I'm leaving on a jet plane... →[More:]

Tomorrow, my father and I fly to Fort Lauderdale to board the Costa Mediterranea for a trans-Atlantic cruise to Genoa. From there, we will take trains to Florence, Venice and Amsterdam.

See you all in mid-May.

Lovely! That sounds dreamy. I love, love, love travelling by ship. I also love trains. And Genoa, Florence, Venice, and Amsterdam. (Not that I've been there, but, you know...)

You know, I swear I have heard that they have this internet thingie over in Europe, and that a traveller can access it.

A note or two along the way would be pretty nice to get.

But if you get over there and find out that Europeans have not yet heard of the net, then, never mind.

I bought a white straw panama and I tucked a bandana inside to firm up the fit.

Thereafter I am heading back to Vegas for two months. I may get to Madison as originally planeed sometime in September.

... or maybe not.
