06 April 2008

Hillary Clinton Rally, Eugene, April 5, 2008. . . I took about a hundred. . these made the cut.
Very cool -- it's neat to see the time-lapse work that goes into these events.

I love the photo of the sound person's daughter. What does her shirt say?

Soul of a free man, free to make a difference, free to make a stand. -- Patrick Lamb, who I have never heard of, but they had a Patrick Lamb CD with their equipment. Not sure if they played it or not.

Aaargh. I saw the tiny thumbnail of that too and thought "whoa, Clinton really looks good for her age".

I'm not wearing my glasses, okay? Just ignore all those levels of wrongness.

Hey, those were neat! It is truly amazing, isn't it? All that work. And to think it happens sometimes 4, 5 times a day.

I'm glad to learn the name for the "bikerack." During the NH events I was always really aware of how hard the security is working at that moment. It's also interesting to watch the security during the event - they pay absolutely no attention to the candidate themselves. They instead scan the crowd constantly. You can see the sharpness of their eyes as they scan, scan, scan, just looking for anything unusual, sudden, or weird. I don't know how they remain so vigilant all the time.
