cross your fingers for me So we have a lot of contests at work. Usually it's "team to sell the most Product X in the time frame all goes to the hockey game/ gets $50 each/ etc."

Well, my team just won eight laptops. Problem being, they use a computer program to draw eight random names out of the 20 on the team.

So, wish me luck!

They didn't say, but Sony's the contest sponsor so I think it's safe to assume it's some flavor of the Vaio. Which I rather like, to be honest.
And my desktop is about five years old. I was thinking I'd put my $600 gov check towards a new laptop.

So it would be just PERFECT for me to win!

(I don't think I could get tickets to the next game if I sold the US Army a new laptop for everyone in it.)

Well, I think that it's chintzy of the company to not give something to everyone on the team. What, they can't afford another 12 machines?

Have you seen the state of the economy? I'm amazed the prizes aren't all "free car wash" and "lunch in the employee cafe" these days.
(in any event, this is how they do all the prizes, and have forever.)
