when in high school I was at two parties in the same summer where some drunk kid went through a closed sliding glass door. So this dog was just being cautious.
I too have witnessed the drunk kid walking straight through a glass door - new years party though. Weird, I wonder how often that idiotic thing happens.
I've tried to run through a sliding glass door before. It was raining and my friends and I were running from the yard to the house. They were ahead of me and I thought they would have left the door open for me since I was still close behind. Running with my head down because of the rain, I didn't see that they had closed the door and I smacked right into it.
Yeah, why dis the dog? He was being cautious and smart about things. He obviously has been quite used to a glass door in his life, and how there isn't one.
Faulting a dog for poor eyesight is like a dog running a Youtube video of a stupid human who can't smell who's passed a tree in the last 10 minutes.
Ugh, yeah, it always bothers me when people say "stupid dog" or make fun of their dogs' intelligence. Why the contempt for the animal?
The other thing is that the dog can clearly tell there's no glass there - he's just unsure about the rules. He knows you can't normally go through there and he's unsure about whether he has the owner's permission. So he keeps looking up at the owner asking "what's up? What happened? is it OK?" He's not stupid, he's observing the rules of the hierarchy.
