Not the BBC, but on the ITV news, well respected presenter Trevor McDonald once made a live-on-air spoonerism of Kent Countryside.

My worst spoonerism was at age 10, at the Catholic rectory (priest's house) with grandma and the priests. When the youngest priest came in with a bucket of chicken, I shouted, "Great! It's Kenfucky Tried Chicken!"
