Woot. I thought the US was way behind the UK in terms of the switch over to digital, but it looks like we're all moving over roughly within the same time frame.

Although the UK has a cuter "move to digital TV" mascot.

I think I've been on digital TV for about 6 years now. Hard to believe it's been so long.

Looks like. They're not doing ours region by region, though (which would make sense!). The whole country flips the switch in about a year. Supposedly I'll get even more channels then, but I don't know if that's myth.

I can't wait until Canada changes over, I'll get their tv channels, too!

It's awesome. We were on the verge of finally breaking down and paying for cable, then bought an HDTV on a doorbuster deal. Right now I'm rocking a homemade antenna in the attic that I fashioned out of copper wire, scrap wood, and aluminum foil. Crystal clear picture, and twice as many channels as I had before. DTV is the shizz.

I still have not gotten my coupon!. . and I submitted the net offer for it way early!

And I have high hopes for this. . .since reception is an issue here too and I will not have cable.

You know, if you'd had cable, you would have gotten every Sabres home game in 1080i.

And hockey in 1080i is... glorious.

and then I wouldn't have a tv since I think there were no less than 100 individual moments when I could have kicked straight through a tv out of rage. ;)
