Are there any good discount dialup ISPs that you can recommend? This would be for upstate New York.[More:]I have some elderly relatives that want to get on the internet as cheaply as possible. I want to tell them just to spend the money to get a good connection, either dialup or broadband, but they want to go cheap. Are there any that are any good?

One relative uses PeoplePC, so I'm tempted to tell the rest to use that. But he gets a metric ass-ton of spam everyday. So I'm conflicted. What do you think I should recommend?
Oh, and nationwide ISPs are fine too. Just something that would likely be available in upstate NY.

ISP.com seems to be a pretty good outfit. When my father's computer crashed, he lost all his log-in info. I called them up, and they stepped me through the entire setup procedure, including a few tweaks that I had never seen.

Beware of NetZero. They ask vague questions during setup that are actually billable services, and getting them to cancel the service and remove the charge is very difficult. The thing is that NetZero's basic service is often the cheapest, but you have to stress up front that you have dealt with them before and know their sneaky tricks and that you only want the basic service.
