Urgent Ask MeCha: What happens if a Windows Live account is deleted? Does it stop Vista from downloading automatic updates?

S'okay, I've found the answer, I think. (I don't use Windows ID or any other Microsoft apps if I can help it.)

It's just software. Crap software at that.
