Video for Yoko Ono's "Mrs. Lennon" (from the great Dick Cavett Show - John & Yoko Collection DVD). This song is haunting. Kind of reminds me of early Cat Power.
Lovely - Ono's seventies output is full of gems, this among them. The double album 'Fly' is one of my favorites. One disc of obnoxious, room-clearing caterwauling and one disk of amazing Krautrock-style rock.

Wow, this is wild.

I tend to take exception to the Yoko-haters of the world. She's a pretty formidable artist in all her media - her conceptual and visual art are both intense, and personally I think Apple (the computer company) owes her an enormous debt for ripping off her visual aesthetic. And her music isn't what rock fans who liked John's stuff were looking for, but it was far ahead of its time. If it popped up today it'd be heralded along with other weird indie stuff.

That part at the end of the video, where the waves wash away their sandwriting saying "John + Yoko," is pretty moving.

Yep, as this album (which is freakin' awesome, BTW) demonstrates. Atom Eyes, if you haven't heard this, you should- one of my favorite tracks is the one done by Cat Power.
