3-point Status Report - return of Matildaben edition Hi guys! Sorry I have been so absent from these parts. →[More:]
1. I got laid off from my job of 3.5 years in January. I'm OK with it because they gave me a good severance package and fully supported my search for a new job. Plus it was totally time to move on anyway.
2. I just signed the offer letter for my new job, which I'm very excited about. Best parts: downtown commute (no more bridges!), super smart team, exciting projects, nicely designed building interiors, excellent benefits.
3. My boyfriend and I took a 2-week trip to Argentina and Uruguay in February. It was totally awesome, and we'd love to go back again sometime. Photos are available here.

1. I had to get up at 5am for a flight to Boston for a conference tomorrow.
2. At dfw all flights canceled.
3. Now I'm at Dallas Love hoping to get back to Austin tonight. Only flight out from either airport is delayed due to weather. Tried to rent a car and drive but sold out.

I just want to be home with the kitties.

Yay, i'm glad you're back!

1.Very happy with the new furniture configuration. It feels more productive.
2. It's been incredibly foggy yet i feel optimistic.
3. Kitties are cute. i think the decision of cats to hang out with humans has conditioned us to like the purring.

1) SQL Server made me annoyed last night. Knoppix saved my butt. TheDonF even offered help!
2) Assembled a whack of new servers today at one of our branch offices with iSCSI SAN technology. Chuckled when I realized that the 1 hour, 15 minute drive to this office is prolly what some people commute EVERY DAY. My usual commute, without dropping of kids, is about 4 minutes.
3) Really glad the Matildaben has a great new job, and has popped up to say howdy!

1. Had some good finds today at work in the bargain bin. A 1951 bartenders guide. It has a whole chapter on absinthe-based cocktails.

Did you try the Hershey Times Square?

1. I am completely different bra sizes in Decent Exposures and Lane Bryant. The comfortable size I found by measuring myself for DE is too small for LB's and the size Town Shop told me I was (without measuring!) seemed OK in LB's dressing room but is also too small.

2. The Henry Moore exhibit (or something similar) that I didn't get a chance to come to see in London will be coming to the NY botanical garden.

3. Am considering going to Scotland for my 40th, but if I wind up getting jury duty those plans will be tossed out the window.

1. We have confirmed hostel reservations for Bolzano and Amsterdam.
2. With the last change in heart medicines, all my prescriptions are now generic.
3. I can jog 100 yards at a time for a total of 500 yards twice a week.

1. Went to the giant Supermarket over here with my mom and did a bit of shopping for the house.

2. Will click on Matildaben's link and go through some of what I'm sure must be great photographs!

3. Also make a post on Mecha and maybe another one on Mefi... let's see.

HEY mats! Good to see you back around. (Though I'm glad I've been able to keep up with ya via Flickr all this time...)

1. We're due for big storms here around midday, and some of the buildings around here still haven't gotten all their broken windows boarded up from the tornado. Everyone downtown's a little edgy, but I'm sure it'll just be messy, not destructive.

2. Got a lot of little, tedious tasks to take care of at work today. Which is why I came in late, and am slacking online now instead of working.
