So long, kitty :( [More:]
So, I've been catsitting for some friends since August. Last night, they finally came to take her away.

Goodbye, Elvis (aka Smellvis, aka Elvoid, aka Madame Poopsalot). You were lumpy, you pooped too much, you constantly spilled your water, you ruined a chair, you never let me sleep past 7:00 AM, you exacerbated my allergies, stunk up my apartment, and scratched and/or bit me (unprovoked) at least ten times per week.

On the other hand, you were affectionate, always in high spirits, you greeted me at the door when I came home from work, you never hissed or growled, your occasional clumsiness was always good for a laugh, you only spit up a hairball once, and you provided constant entertainment with your endless repertoire of ridiculous poses and odd behaviors.

I think I speak for all the frustrated neighborhood Tom cats (always peering in at the windows) when I say: You will be missed.
Oh Elvis! Atom Eyes is going to miss you!

Aw! What a great cat. Klutzy cats are always hilarious to me.

Aw. That's a long time to have her - of course you would get attached! Poor Atom Eyes...

I love the photo of her in front of the poster - she looks like she's smelling the flowers. What a sweet cat.

She's gorgeous. She looks like she could be cousin to my Bailey.

Also, I am very glad this wasn't a kitty-put-to-sleep thread, which I feared from the title.

Aww. I'm catsitting for my dad right now, and I really enjoy spending time with his cat. She's a tubby grey cat that looks like Happycat. She has trouble jumping onto her scratching post platform because of her size, so I have to pick her up. It's really cute.

Aw, kitty, kitty. They are so much fun. I fought to get a cat instead of a dog. I was outnumbered.

Me too.

That is a wonderful kitty. She looks like my Me-Me (otherwise called Meemerz) only Meemerz is smaller at 8 months. She might get this big, she might not.

Aren't cats wonderful? Sigh.

Bailey's a peach, essexjan.

Aren't cats wonderful?

To paraphrase a favorite line from Arthur: They don't suck.

How fitting, that she is looking at the Pp. :D (and I'm glad this wasn't a death thread, too!)

I agreed to cat-sit for a friend of a friend once. He was going on tour with a band for four months. That was eight years ago, and Teddy's still with us. And we are really glad as he turned out to be quite a great cat.
