Are those beads?

Whee! These are from our old place; I took a ton of pictures to (a) show just how impossible it was to get everything in order and (b) remind myself that I never, ever wanted to live like that again. (We had sublet my mom's old apartment, and it was crammed with all of her stuff collected over a period of 13 years, plus our stuff. Completely insane.

The dining room table. Littered, always, with random books and remainders of craft projects and takeout menus and, for some reason, a watch box. Also, two of the dining room chairs are covered by a futon cover that we hung out to dry and never moved.

This was in the room meant to be our "libraratory," a term The Boy and I coined to mean library and laboratory combined. We were going to use it as our workspace, but considering it was full of junk that was clearly impossible to do.

Oh, and in case anyone's wondering, then the white thing in the background is Marvin. The silvery thing is an old pocket watch.

I forgot about this, or I would have taken a picture of my house right now. It's horrifying. But I didn't, so you will have to be satisfied with this shot of my yard last summer, decorated by my lovely dog Django. Think this is bad? It looks worse now, actually - all that shredded trash is, more shredded, wet and muddy and there are lots of holes.
