So you spill a cup of cooked (sticky yet not sticky) rice on the floor How do you clean it up? Let's assume in this scenario there are no hungry dogs nearby.
Wait till 9am. Go to the nearest animal shelter. Choose the three hungriest looking dogs there. Bring them home. Clean floor.

Um, I guess I have not really thought this through.

OK, wait till 9am. Get phone book. Look in the Yellow Pages for RentaDog.

No wait.

Damn.

Think outside the box! Possible actions (ordered by least to most effort):

1) put peanut butter on the bottom of your shoes, walk around on rice. Toss or refrigerate shoes, depending on how much you like peanut butter.

2) Add more rice to floor, plus "interactive" technology of some kind; call it an "installation".

3) Install new floor over old floor

4) Move

Man, I was just going to suggest using a vacuum cleaner.

I am small and dull.

Alternatively, if you don't have a vacuum, leave it there for two days, by which time it will be dry and dessicated. Then use a broom.

Still pretty dull.

I actually had a post that I was working on to seriously address the issue--think how dull I am???

What kind of floor?
posted by concrete 06 March | 01:14
The plasticky, tiled kind - moderately soft underfoot. Concrete, you're going to tell me to take a blowtorch to it, aren't you? -cries-

And Hadjiboy/Mudpuppie you both are about as dull as seasoned rice in a lotus leaf.
