I'm never really happy happy, but I did get new contacts today. I can see better, because now I can have a persripton for each eye, in the contact type I need. But they are still not comfy, like. I won't be wearing them all the time.
Different ones. I haven't had a new contact perscription in years. My vision is quite stable. I was hoping technology had improved in the last four five years, and they are better, but I'm just not a contact gal. Slightly dry eyes and a slight astigmatism. It's a shame, because my vision isn't particularly bad. I'm hoping to practice and get used to them more.
I've never been comfortable with putting things in my eyes. I don't know how you guys do it. But I do hope, rainy, that your new eyes feel better soon.
I'm happy today, strangely. Been thinking a lot about what it means to be happy and I find that generally I am. Today I finished a web site - well, hit all my deadlines for now - and I don't have to deal with it for another week or so. YEY!
I hope everyone else has at east something to be yippie about. SPRING IS COMMING!
I am happy because I am on vacation until next Friday (I'm a little worried at what will happen while I'm gone but, eh, won't worry about that until I get back) and my sisters arrive tomorrow morning!
I have never considered contacts, but yesterday was the first time in years that I misplaced my glasses ... big little scare there even though I have three spare pairs, only the one was a current prescription. And I have such an awesome view that any blurred vision is just so much no fun. Glasses finally found, but now today I'm suffering from all 5 steps of the Pepto Bismol dance, still I'm enjoying the Food Foto Friday vicariously. Not yet in my happy place, but I can see it from here.
I'm happy because I believe life now is great. My husband and baby son are both splendid, sweet and healthy; my sister and her family are doing great; my brother has a girlfriend; my parents are in their 70's and still traveling the world and looking after everyone and I'm having a blast being a mom after doing the big career thing for a long time. So, the people I love are happy, so I'm really happy.
As for contacts, I've had them since I was 12 and I love them. I still wear hard ones and I'm told you get really crisp clear vision with them compared to the soft ones that most people have.
I can't say it's been a happy day, but I am happy the week is done. It's been exhausting.
With contacts: One thing that I think has improved a great deal is contact lens solution technology (is that technology? chemistry?). My optometrist recommended the Opti-something "Replenish" stuff (orange box), and I've found it makes a huuuuuuge difference in how comfortable the lenses are.
