This post taught me an important lesson about my new work computer. It has Vista and I noticed the link went to YouTube so I thought I'd put on my headphones. In every notebook computer I've had for the past 12 years, plugging in the headphones will mute the built-in speakers.
So, rather loudly that song started up in the cube farm. I end up slamming the lid shut to shut it up. Of course, when I opened it, the machine awoke and it started playing the music loudly. And now it wanted my password (which cannot be a dictionary word and contain at least one number and at least one special character) which I couldn't enter since the music was so distracting and embarrassing. So I slammed it shut and searched the building for a conference room where I could shut the goddamn thing up.
