Possible future Photo Friday idea? The CD Cover Meme Pool. I love this - you get assigned a band name and an album title. For the third step I think it would be fun to use each other's images instead of the random flickr ones. What do you think?
Meanwhile, for Photo Friday, is there a way to pull random images from either the metachat tag pool or metachat eye? I like the assignment/random nature of this the best - if you get to pick the image it sort of takes the fun out of it.
I was wondering that too, but am woefully inept in all things code. If it can't be done, maybe we can assign a person to dole out the images (I would do that if need be).
I'd like to be a part of this, and it would make a great photo Friday. Just need to schedule it so we have time for the work. And, yes, how to deal with the random image thingie? I agree that the randomness makes it interesting. Plus, non-photographers would be able to participate too.
It's such a pain to transfer the info to and fire up the old machine, but this one makes itself: 1, 2, 3.

I tried the Yahoo Pipes mashup thing to retrieve a random Metachat tagged photo from flickr, but couldn't find a way to generate a random number to select the photo from the list. The user could enter a random number, but that seems kinda dumb.
I tried the same in Microsoft's Popfly mashup service and got it working, but it seems that you need to install their Silverlight thing and view the page in IE to get it to work. Ugh...
How should we do this? Maybe forget the MetaChatter's photos angle and just play it the same way everyone else is? It wouldn't have to be a Photo Friday, necessarily....just a diversion.
