I went to my first restaurant opening tonight! →[More:] I feel like a celebrity. My friend is waitressing at a new upscale restaurant in town, for HER friends, up and coming chefs/owners, and we got invites to do a taseting menu, gratis tonight. We paid for drinks and tipped verrrrry well, but what a cool deal! Our table of four was assigned a menu, and we had to make it work so that we each got a unique appetizer and entree, then we shared the two desserts. For practice for the kitchen and the wait staff.

The food was excellent. I had the duck as an entree.
