No! Alas! I caught her last Creatures show. She never had a strong voice, but she uses what she has amazingly well. It was such a dynamic, fabulous performance. I'm disappointed she's not hitting Chicago with this show.

How do you pronounce that, spelled phonetically? (I've wondered that for about 15 years)

Susie. Which was what her friends called her, apparently, having been christened "Janet Susan" at birth. Or so I once read in a magazine.

I've heard many people carefully articulate both syllables: Sioux-sie, adding a sort of lisp to the second S, but every time I've heard her say it, she doesn't.

unless you meant "how do you pronounce "brujita", in which case I can only say, I never have. and I'd also add that it was only at the last metafilter chicago meet-up that I realized "pie is exactly three is a reference to Pi, and not a small person, named "Pie" telling us he's exactly three years old.
