Bad and Good! BAD: my power went out last night and my alarm didn't go off as a result, I woke up 20 min. after I should have already been on the bus!

GOOD: My roommate texted me to say I should stay home if I can since winds are 50 mph, I called my team lead, and he said he didn't think it would be safe for me to try and make it in. So... snow day!

BAD: There are people in Haiti who are so desperate for food, they eat mud.

GOOD: None of my problems seem nearly as bad in comparison.

BAD: Work seems to be going sooooo slow today. And I can't go out for coffee because I wrecked my car yesterday. :(

GOOD: This means I can spend a shitload of time on the film shelving project. Yay for productivity!

GOOD: I had finished all my work by 11.30 this morning and so went to the gym.

BAD: I am out of shape. The gym was very hard work.

BAD: My finances have taken an unexpected bad turn in the last month. Nothing life-threatening, but stressful.

GOOD: Had breakfast with a good friend, and ate french toast! MMMM.

BAD: it's the end of January and there's no snow.

GOOD: I CANNOT THINK OF ANYTHING GOOD BECAUSE THERE'S NO SNOW AND ALL THIS DARKNESS IS SO DEPRESSING! Actually, the tea I bought today (black tea with toffee) is very nice. That more than makes up for everything.

BAD: The knives I paid a small fortune for have mysteriously sold out since I placed my order, and I now have to wait until the end of February. I WANT MY GLOBALS!!

GOOD: My colleague who has been in New Zealand and Thailand for the last three months is back! Now we are 4/6 managers instead of 3/6 (40 staff) - yay! It was also very sunny today.

GOOD: I've done enough work in the past week to cover my rent and still have some left over.

QUESTIONABLE: There is always the chance that my boss won't get the money to me on time, because it's possible that the university hasn't paid her yet.

BAD: My boss and her boss have had a falling out and my boss quit. I apparently am out of a job. :(
