My corsetry pictures Since people asked... here some of them are. They were taken by a good friend of mine, Luke Copping, in his studio. The gal in zebra did both of our makeup (and, is his girlfriend).
Thanks! The one thing that bugged me about them is that the corsets are designed to fit the upper ribs with my arms down. I put them straight up, to get my hair out of the way, and the ribcage stretches, leaving a gap at the top.
Which, I think, is something only a corsetry fanatic or maker would notice.
Oh my god, you are amazing. (I noticed the gap as a corset wearer but it was immediately apparent that it was because your arms were up, don't sweat it.)
Sweet Habib was that ever nice to wake up to! </male chauvinist ogling>
You should open an internet boutique! Post one of those forms like tux rental places have, where folks can send you their measurements and get a reasonably custom fit. You have a real talent for design, and people would probably pay money for that level of craftsmanship. Or not.
Thanks so much, everyone! I love how the one I wore came out. The other... well, to be honest, not so much, in the fit dept. I love the corset, but she wore a padded push up bra when I got her measurements, and I didn't know, so they were all off.
I do plan to start a website, that's why I got these taken. Need a lot more, though.
Mine's made of a poly-silk blend from Hong Kong I got in Toronto (you can tell if it's actually from there, or domestic, since they use 30" bolts in Hong Kong, everyone else uses almost twice that.). Hers is a poly weave fabric, I don't know the name since she brought it to me, with a slight nap (fuzzy), and the trim is PVC.
Oh, and I admit... my skin's not that nice. The magic of wearing ten pounds of makeup and a touch of photoshop. I'm normally almost ruddy. ;)
