A story with teeth This one's gross, but so damn funny.[More:]My grandmother Swan told me this one (she loved to tell stories — being a raconteur runs in the Swan family), and I remember her laughing so hard she could hardly get the words out.

This strikes me as kind of urban legend-y but it seems to me that Grandma knew the man or his name or something, though I can't remember it.

Some old guy whom she claimed was from the retirement community where she lived was up in Toronto for a day, and managed to lose his false teeth on the subway. Don't ask me HOW — I'm just telling it like I heard it. He later went to the TTC Lost & Found to see if they'd been turned in. They had a selection of false teeth there. He started trying them on. He didn't find his own, but he found a pair that fit better than his own had, so he kept them.
OMG haha that's so gross. I've heard the TTC lost and found has a lot of weird shit in it, so I believe it. Trying on random dentures is gross as heck though.

I think if I lost my dentures I'd write them off as lost and gone forever.

And I still don't understand how the guy lost them. Did they just fall out of his mouth without him noticing? Did he take them out, set them down somewhere and forget about them? If so, why would he do that on the subway? But then plainly we aren't talking about someone who has ordinary standards of etiquette and personal care.
