Design Challenge: Take Back the Bathroom! Sticker Campaign This thread was the last straw! We've discussed it here before. We've complained to our friends. We've dealt with other people's nasty inconsideration. It's time to take action, once and for all. Designers, to the barricades![More:]I hereby issue the Take Back the Bathroom Design Challenge.

Goal:

1. Design 1 sheet of printable stickers bearing a message (text, graphic, or a combination) clearly condemning bad bathroom behavior. When printed and cut apart, individual stickers should be small enough to carry in a purse or pocket.

2. Post sheet on web or create in PDF so anyone, from anywhere, can download and use it.

3. Profit!!! From the passionate support of your sisters and the potential fame as your awesome sticker becomes the next hot internet must-see page.

In the spirit of RPM, I declare February Take Back the Bathroom Challenge month. Please post and share the Challenge wherever you hang out. Then, on March 1, let's have a great unveiling of the treasure trove of newly created stickers.

Only through applying the pressure of social norms can the world's women's bathrooms see a cleaner day. Let's go!
Oops. I messed up the second link big time. Good thing the music there is so wonderful - at least you can enjoy that.

I must admit, I stole the expression from LFR. She called people savages that used their cellphones in the bathroom stalls. It cracked me up.

Maybe I'll think of a more suitable design to post in public places. :-)

Whenever I hear someone on a cellphone in the restroom, I always flush. A lot. More than necessary, in fact. I want to the guy at the other end to know exactly where the call is originating.

One lovely spring day, mr. init and I were outside on the sidewalk in front of our house, when in the lull of conversation we heard from our neighbor's house, clear as a bell even though their windows and doors were closed:

"WHO PEED ON THE SEAT AND ALL OVER THE FLOOR?!"

We looked toward the neighbor's house and wondered which of their three little boys was the culprit, and the neighbor continued:

"DISCIPLINE! FOCUS! PEE IN YOUR POWER ZONE!!!"

Mr. init and I beat a hasty retreat into our house, as we didn't want the neighbors to see us splitting our sides with laughter.

For boys, it's so easy. Float a square of toilet paper on the water and have target practice.

here ya go.
