The Song Retains The Name
Iím guessing that MeCha is not Led Zeppelin Fan Central, but there might be a couple of you whoíll appreciate this: last week, I was given a stack of Zep bootlegs. I am now taking this opportunity to share one of them with you. →
I swap boots with a co-worker, who rememberd that I had a number of Zeppelin recordings and burned me copies of some of his favorites. Iím not a huge fan of the band, myself - Science Girl is the Ledhead in our house. Having said that, this is a really nice recording.
The album is titled Going Mobile
, which would have made more sense if it was A) the show from Mobile, Alabama (I have a copy of that one, too, by the way; the only title it has is the city name and the date), or B) a bootleg of The Who (see, they have a song by that title, andÖ oh, never mind). At any rate, this show took place in Salt Lake City on 5/26/73. I donít think Iíve got the entire show here, but the songs that are most likely missing (Dazed & Confused, featuring Jimmy Pageís interminable ďThe Creation
? Never heard of ĎemĒ violin bow guitar solo, and the 97-minute drum solo that is Moby Dick) are pretty boring anyway.
So, without any further ado:
Rock and Roll
Over the Hills and Far Away
Misty Mountain Hop
Since Iíve Been Loviní You
